Fiji, July 15 -- Solomon Islands National University (SINU) Vice Chancellor Dr Transform Aqorau has called for a national conversation on the country's future, saying the lead-up to the nation's 50th Independence anniversary in 2028 presents a rare opportunity to shape the next 50 years.

Dr Aqorau said the anniversary should be more than a celebration and should be used to reflect on the country's direction.
