2027 Rugby World Cup on track to set records as Australia marks one year to go before launch
Fiji, Oct. 2 -- Thursday, 1st October officially marks 365 days until rugby's largest tournament kicks off on Australian shores, and all signs are pointing to the 2027 Men's Rugby World Cup being the largest yet.
Festivities to celebrate the one-year milestone took place across the country, with World Rugby revealing demand for the event has been strong, with over 1.3 million tickets of the 2.5 million tickets available already sold.
With fans from more than 164 countries expected in Australia, remaining tickets went on sale Thursday, giving fans another chance to be part of a once-in-a-generation event.
