Zoological Survey of India assesses ecological and development needs of Odisha's Chilika Lake
Bhubaneswar, June 20 -- A special team from the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) is conducting a detailed assessment of the ecological condition and developmental needs of Chilika Lake in Odisha's Puri district. The team visited Brahmapur and Maensa villages under Krushnaprasad block on Saturday to evaluate the current situation and gather first-hand information from local residents.
The survey is being carried out following directions from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) as part of efforts to examine development requirements in the Chilika island region.
