Bhubaneswar, Aug. 16 -- A young man was swept away by the strong current of the Kala River while bathing in Mayurbhanj district on Sunday. The incident took place in Godagaon village under Kaptipada police station limits. The missing youth has been identified as Sipun Madhei.

According to reports, Sipun was bathing in the Kala River with one of his friends when a strong current suddenly swept him away. He reportedly drowned and was swept away by the river.

On getting information, the Kaptipada Fire Services Department personnel reached the spot and continued the search for Sipun in the river.
