Bhubaneswar, June 11 -- A youth was stabbed and killed during a clash between two groups in Kendrapara district on Thursday. Police launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the incident.

The incident took place under Pattamundai model police station limits. The deceased has been identified as Kailash Mallick of Kajalabandh village.

According to reports, the clash stemmed from a dispute between two families over plucking moringa at Ishanipalli village under Rajnagar police station limits in Kendrapara district.

On Wednesday, a verbal altercation reportedly broke out between the families of Prabhakar Nayak and Pratap Nayak.
