Bhubaneswar, May 15 -- A youth died after a scooter collided with an auto-rickshaw near Kutuli area on the Koraput-Rayagada border in Odisha late on Thursday night, triggering tension in the area and a road blockade by villagers demanding compensation.

According to reports, the accident took place in Kutuli area of Rayagada when a scooter and an auto-rickshaw collided head-on under unclear circumstances. The impact of the collision reportedly left the scooter rider critically injured.

Locals and passersby rushed to the spot soon after the accident and attempted to rescue the injured youth. However, he reportedly succumbed to his injuries following the mishap.
