Bhubaneswar, Oct. 10 -- A young man was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle on Shree Setu in Puri. The recent accident brought renewed attention to the lack of street lighting along the stretch. He was shifted to Puri hospital for treatment.

The stretch from Biraharekrushnapur to Shree Setu and from Shree Setu to the Jagannath Ballav parking area reportedly remains unlit. Despite repeated complaints, the issue has yet to be resolved.

The lack of lighting along the stretch has reportedly increased the risk of accidents, travellers are also facing various difficulties while travelling after dark. The issue has remained a concern despite complaints to the administration.
