Bhubaneswar, June 17 -- A youth was found dead near a canal along the Nakhra-Sundarpur main road in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on Wednesday morning, with family members alleging that he was murdered. The deceased has been identified as Prabhat Behera of Anantpur village.

Police and forensic teams reached the spot and started an investigation. A scooter, a plastic pipe, a rope, and beer bottles were found near the body. There were injury marks on Prabhat's head and mouth. The death has raised suspicion, as family members said he was called out of his house late on Tuesday night and did not return home.
