Bhubaneswar, May 26 -- A suspicious death reported in Titilagarh of Bolangir district in Odisha on Monday triggered questions over the circumstances surrounding the incident as well as the manner in which police handled the case after recovering the victim.

The body of a youth, suspected to be a labourer, was recovered from Maharaja Sagar. Blood was reportedly seen coming from his nose, prompting questions regarding the cause of death. While police later stated that the youth had died, several aspects of the incident remain under scrutiny.

According to reports, the youth was recovered from Maharaja Sagar and taken away by police personnel. Authorities subsequently stated that he died after being taken to hospital.
