Bhubaneswar, June 2 -- A 28-year-old man died after sustaining critical injuries in a suspected hunting bomb explosion while grazing pigs near Mathura village in Odisha's Ganjam district on Sunday. The incident has raised concerns about the use of illegal explosive traps in forest-fringe areas.

The deceased has been identified as G. Raja of Bandhasahi in Nuamalabhanja village, under Digapahandi police limits. Reports indicate that Raja had taken his pigs to graze near a pond and adjoining agricultural land on the outskirts of Mathura village when the explosion occurred.
