Bhubaneswar, April 2 -- In a tragic incident in Odisha's Bhadrak, a youth lost his life while attempting to film a social media reel after jumping into the Salandi river. The mishap occurred at around 10 a.m. on Thursday when two youths jumped from Santia bridge and were swept away by the current.

The body of one of the youths, who had gone missing after the jump, was later recovered following an extensive search operation that lasted more than two and a half hours. The incident has sparked concern among locals over safety and risky behaviour for social media content.
