Bhubaneswar, May 30 -- A young man was allegedly assaulted by a group of unidentified individuals who arrived in a vehicle resembling a police jeep in the Baisinga area of Mayurbhanj district on Sunday. The injured youth has been admitted to Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital, Balasore for treatment.

According to reports, the youth had gone near a river to relieve himself when a group of men arrived and assaulted him. The victim alleged that the attackers were travelling in a vehicle equipped with a siren, raising suspicions that it resembled an official police vehicle.
