Woman dies at Nuapada hospital, family alleges 'wrong injection' and medical negligence
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 29 -- A woman died after allegedly being administered a wrong injection at the District Headquarters Hospital in Odisha's Nuapada on Friday. Following her death, her family members alleged medical negligence and staged a protest on Saturday. The kin placed her body outside the Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO)'s office, demanding action against the doctor concerned and compensation.
The deceased has been identified as Lachhanti Majhi, wife of Tulasi Majhi from Pandarapathar village in Nuapada. She was admitted to the hospital on August 25 after developing fever.
