Bhubaneswar, April 25 -- A woman devotee sustained critical injuries on Saturday, after being bitten by a snake during a religious visit to the Navagraha Temple in Konark, located in Odisha's Puri district.

The injured woman has been identified as Rinki Senapati, a resident of Paradip. She had travelled to the temple along with her family members to offer prayers. 

According to reports, the incident occurred after she completed the Navagraha darshan (ritual worship) and participated in a homa (sacred fire ritual) within the temple premises.
