Bhubaneswar, June 28 -- A woman was critically injured after being allegedly attacked by her daughter-in-law with a traditional 'paniki'(vegetable chopper) in Patharghata village under Bhograi block of Odisha's Balasore district late on Saturday night.

The injured woman sustained serious injuries to her head and neck. She was rushed to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.

As per reports, the incident occurred over constant family disputes related to money.
