Bhubaneswar, March 11 -- Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to remove the restrictions on the use of wood and coal stoves that were earlier imposed to control air pollution in the Capital City. The move is expected to bring relief to many small businesses that depend on traditional stoves for their daily operations, sources said on Thursday.
According to BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, the civic body is considering lifting the ban on the use of wood and coal stoves by traders and food vendors. The restriction had been enforced as part of measures to curb rising air pollution levels.
