Bhubaneswar, Sept. 27 -- Amid heavy rain, a wild bear, in search of food, ventured into Dongriguda village under Dabugam block in Odisha's Nabarangpur district on Saturday after days of incessant rainfall in the area.

According to reports, the bear was seen roaming near a house before moving towards the kitchen, apparently looking for something to eat. Villagers later gathered and safely chased the animal away. No injuries or damage were reported in the incident.

It is suspected that the bear entered the human settlement after struggling to find sufficient food in the nearby forest due to nearly three days of continuous rain. The persistent rainfall may have affected the availability of food and disturbed the animal's usual movement ins...
