Bhubaneswar, Aug. 25 -- What exactly happened to the massive cargoship Ocean Winner in the middle of the Bay of Bengal? Three days after the vessel sank, there is still no clear answer. The ship went down within around eight minutes after it started tilting, leaving 22 crew members missing in the deep sea.

The Ocean Winner had left Paradip Port on August 21 for China, carrying around 72,200 tonnes of iron ore fines. On August 22, the vessel sank around 230-240 nautical miles off the Odisha coast.

There were 24 crew members on board the ship. Two Chinese crew members were rescued from a life raft, while the search continues for the remaining 22.
