Bhubaneswar, Sept. 11 -- A woman died while undergoing treatment after she and her alleged partner reportedly consumed pesticide in Nuapada district on Thursday. The man was undergoing treatment in a critical condition at the time of reporting.

The incident took place in the Sinapali police station area. Manoj Sa and Doleswari Sa of Salebhidi village were reportedly in a relationship. On Wednesday night, the two left their homes and spent the night in a nearby forest.

According to their family members, the couple allegedly consumed pesticide on Thursday morning over some unknown issue. Family members later rescued them from the spot and rushed them to the Sinapali Community Health Centre.
