Bhubaneswar, Aug. 13 -- Odisha police arrested six alleged members of a robbery gang from Jharkhand for their suspected involvement in six house robberies in the Bhadrak district since May this year.

The arrests followed the investigation into a robbery at Jagadalpur under Bhadrak Rural Police Station limits. Police first arrested the alleged mastermind, Aditya Rana, and later sent two teams to Jharkhand based on information gathered during the investigation.

According to police, the gang members would first establish contact with local residents before entering houses on different pretexts. In some cases, they allegedly asked for fish fingerlings, while in others they asked for water.
