Wage row sparks violence in Noida; roads blocked, vehicles set ablaze
Bhubaneswar, April 13 -- A workers' protest in Noida over wage hike demands turned violent on Monday, disrupting normal life and triggering panic across key industrial zones. What began as a three-day-long agitation quickly spiralled into clashes, arson and road blockades, forcing authorities to step in.
Large groups of factory workers took to the streets, blocking major roads and raising slogans, leading to massive traffic snarls, especially along the Delhi-Noida border.
