Bhubaneswar, March 22 -- In a unique form of protest, villagers in Katapali under Odisha's Bargarh district on Saturday used music and a procession-style demonstration to oppose the alleged illegal dumping of municipal waste in their area.

According to reports, the protest began after four tractors from the Bargarh Municipality reportedly arrived to dump waste at vacant sites in Katapali. Villagers intervened, stopped the vehicles, and lined them up in a symbolic gesture. Instead of a conventional protest, residents played DJ music and organised a procession-like "welcome" to draw attention to their concerns.
