Bhubaneswar, May 12 -- A video allegedly showing a tuition teacher physically assaulting a student inside a coaching centre classroom in Delhi's Kalkaji area went viral on social media, triggering widespread outrage. The footage, reportedly shot at Sumit's Academy, shows several students seated silently while one student, Harsh, sits separately at the front.

The teacher, identified as Sumit Sehgal, is seen repeatedly hitting and verbally reprimanding the student, prompting users to demand police action.

"This is straight-up child abuse, not 'discipline'. That instructor deserves immediate arrest and a lifetime ban from teaching," one social media user wrote.
