Vande Bharat Express attacked with stones, railway police detain suspect
Bhubaneswar, Aug. 26 -- A stone-pelting attack targeted the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express on Tuesday evening. Gujarat Governor Anandiben Patel was traveling on the train.
Railway authorities confirmed that they have taken a suspect into custody, who is currently being interrogated as the probe continues.
The attack took place on the Utran-Ankleshwar line under the Vadodara division, shortly after the train passed Utran station.
The pelting reportedly occurred between 6:30 PM and 6:45 PM, affecting coaches C-6 and C-10. It remains unconfirmed if any passengers sustained injuries.
