Untimely Rath Yatra row deepens as ISKCON rejects Puri Gajapati's appeal
Bhubaneswar, July 9 -- International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) rejected an appeal made by Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb regarding its observance of the untimely Rath Yatra and Snana Yatra festivals outside the traditional schedule.
As per reports, Puri Gajapati Maharaja had formally requested ISKCON to stop organising these out-of-season religious processions in a letter dispatched on July 4.
According to the Gajapati Maharaja, ISKCON responded to the communication by stating that it is respectfully withdrawing from the ongoing discussions on the matter.
