Unknown animal sparks panic in Odisha village, injures 5 in suspected wildlife attack
Bhubaneswar, May 19 -- Fear gripped the residents of Khudaputuli village under Udala forest range in Mayurbhanj district after a wild animal allegedly resembling a honey badger attacked multiple villagers, leaving at least five people seriously injured over two days, sources said on Tuesday.
According to sources, the animal entered the village on Monday night and first attacked two residents, who sustained severe injuries and were later admitted to a health facility in Udala for treatment. Villagers said the animal appeared aggressive and repeatedly chased people before biting them.
