Bhubaneswar, April 27 -- In an unusual and eye-catching form of protest, cow protection activists staged a symbolic demonstration at the Nilgiri Tehsil office premises in Odisha's Balasore district on Monday. 

As per reports, the protesters entered the premises accompanied by bulls, played traditional musical instruments, and performed sankirtan (devotional singing) while dancing to draw attention to their cause.

This innovative approach was part of a 'Go Samman Aahwan Abhiyan' (campaign calling for respect and protection of cows). Through this cultural procession, the activists sought to highlight their demand for the enactment of stricter cow protection laws and a complete ban on cow slaughter.
