Bhubaneswar, May 29 -- The body of an unidentified woman was recovered from the banks of the Reba River at Bodak Panchayat under Tihidi police station limits in Bhadrak district on Friday.

Police were alerted by local residents about the body lying near the river bank and immediately reached the spot to launch an investigation. The identity of the deceased woman is yet to be established.

A scientific team and sniffer dogs were deployed to examine the scene, and officials collected evidence from the surrounding area to aid the investigation.
