Bhubaneswar, Oct. 18 -- The body of an unidentified person was recovered in a bloodied condition near the children's park in Kantabanji in Odisha's Bolangir district late on Saturday night.

The body was spotted during police patrolling. The identity of the deceased has not yet been established.

According to reports, the deceased sustained injuries to the face. Based on the surrounding conditions and circumstances, a bear is suspected to have attacked the person. However, the exact cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

The suspicion comes amid reports of a wild bear creating panic in the area for the past five days.
