Bhubaneswar, April 10 -- OdishaChief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi warned of strict action against unannounced power cuts, stating that officials responsible for such outages will face imprisonment. 

The directive comes amid recurring complaints of unscheduled electricity disruptions during the summer months.

Addressing a programme at Balianta on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, CM Mohan Majhi issued a strong warning to power distribution companies and officials. He emphasised that the state government would not tolerate unannounced outages and directed authorities to ensure uninterrupted, high-quality and reliable power supply.
