Bhubaneswar, June 13 -- Two senior IPS officers from Odisha cadre have been empanelled by the Centre for appointment to Director General (DG) and DG-equivalent ranks. The high-level Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved their names alongside 31 other top officers from across India.

This cleared a path for the Odisha officers to take up premier command positions within the Central Government's security and intelligence frameworks.
