Bhubaneswar, April 19 -- Panic gripped Sangapasi village in Odisha's Deogarh district after a tusker entered the locality on Saturday, damaging property and forcing residents to flee for safety. The incident took place under the Kundeigola section of the Deogarh forest division when the elephant strayed in from a nearby forest.
The tusker remained inside the village for nearly an hour during the afternoon and evening, creating fear among villagers. Despite repeated attempts by locals to drive it away, the elephant could not be controlled, prompting residents to leave their homes and take shelter outside.
