Bhubaneswar, Aug. 9 -- With thousands of passengers expected to travel home for Onam, finding a confirmed train ticket could become a major challenge during the festive season. To ease the rush, 112 special train trips have been notified for the Onam travel period, offering additional connectivity before and after the festival.

Onam 2026 begins with Atham on August 16, while Thiruvonam, the main festival day, falls on August 26. The special services are planned largely between August 14 and September 6, giving passengers more travel options during the peak period.
