Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- A road accident has occurred at Guma Ghat in Rayagada district of Odisha after a truck and an oil tanker reportedly collided head-on on Friday. The accident took place at the third bend of Guma Ghat on the Rayagada-Koraput road.

Following the collision, traffic movement on the busy route has come to a standstill. Hundreds of vehicles are reportedly stranded on both sides of National Highway 326, leading to a long traffic jam in the area.

According to reports, the two heavy vehicles collided at the bend, blocking a major portion of the road. The accident has caused problems for commuters and other vehicles travelling between Rayagada and Koraput.
