Bhubaneswar, Sept. 25 -- Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds disrupted normal life across Ganjam district on Thursday. Large trees were uprooted at several places and blocked major roads. Several areas also reported waterlogging as continuous rainfall affected movement in low-lying parts of the district.

Berhampur witnessed intermittent heavy rain along with strong winds, leading to tree falls in several parts of the city. Trees were uprooted in Bijipur, Church Road, Kamapalli and Court Road areas, blocking roads and affecting traffic.

Fire services personnel reached the affected locations and cleared the roads by cutting and removing the fallen trees.
