Trafficking bid foiled in Odisha's Ganjam: 4 minor boys rescued, two suspected agents detained
Bhubaneswar, July 8 -- Four minor boys were rescued from an alleged trafficking attempt at Chhatrapur Railway Station in Odisha's Ganjam district on Tuesday night while they were reportedly being taken to Surat by train. Two suspected traffickers have been detained, and the car used to transport the children has been seized.
The rescue was carried out in a joint operation by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Labour Department, Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Chhatrapur Police after officials received specific information about the movement of the minors.
