Bhubaneswar, Aug. 9 -- A youth was arrested in Odisha on Saturday after an AI-generated photo led people to believe that a tiger was roaming in a sugarcane field at Talua village under Saudia Panchayat in Jajpur's Badachana block.

The arrested youth has been identified as Srikanta Kumar Dinda. He had posted on social media claiming that a tiger was roaming in Talua village, reportedly.

The post spread rapidly, which prompted hundreds of people to gather near the village to see the alleged tiger.

After receiving information about the alleged tiger sighting, police and Forest Department officials reached the spot and tried to manage the crowd. The officials reportedly spent nearly four hours dealing with the situation.
