Bhubaneswar, March 31 -- A spell of contrasting weather conditions is prevailing across Odisha, with intense heat during the day followed by rainfall in the evening. The Meteorological Department forecasts continued thunderstorm activity over the coming days.

According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall are likely to persist across the state for another four days. Several areas are expected to witness lightning and gusty winds along with rain on Tuesday.

The impact of the weather system is expected to be more pronounced in northern Odisha. An Orange warning has been issued for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Keonjhar districts for today.
