Bhubaneswar, Sept. 5 -- Three separate cases involving allegations of rape were reported from Soro in Balasore, Rairakhol in Sambalpur and Paradip in Odisha on Friday. The incidents involve minor girls, including a Plus Two college student in Soro.

In Soro, a Plus Two college student was allegedly gang-raped while she was out with her male friend. Following a written complaint by the victim at Soro police station, police registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested two accused persons. The allegations state that the girl was sexually assaulted by her male friend and one of his associates.
