Bhubaneswar, March 14 -- Three people were killed in a tusker attack in the Paburia section of the G. Udayagiri forest area in Kandhamal district on Saturday morning, triggering panic among residents of nearby villages. The incident occurred when the victims had reportedly gone into the forest to collect firewood.
Two of the deceased were residents of Damba village, while the third was a youth from Paburia village. The victims have been identified as Basudev Pradhan, Kirtan Bagarti and Duri Pradhan. According to reports, the elephant attacked them while they were inside the forest, resulting in their deaths.
