Bhubaneswar, March 10 -- Three persons were killed and another critically injured after two motorcycles collided head-on in Odisha's Rayagada district on Tuesday.

The accident occurred near the Durgi Jagannath Temple under the Bissam Cuttack police station limits along State Highway No. 36, police said. The impact of the collision was severe, leaving the victims with critical injuries and causing panic among locals in the area.

According to police sources, two persons died on the spot following the crash. Another injured victim was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment but succumbed to injuries later, taking the death toll to three.
