Bhubaneswar, April 30 -- Three police personnel were injured in a knife attack inside the 6th Battalion of the Odisha Armed Police (OMP) in Cuttack on Wednesday following an altercation with a group of youths within the premises.

According to information, a group of youths was sitting near a pond within the battalion premises when a police patrolling van objected to their presence and asked them to leave. This led to a verbal altercation between the two sides.

As the situation escalated, Chauliaganj Police Station was informed, following which additional personnel were dispatched to the spot to manage the situation.
