Bhubaneswar, March 22 -- An attempted theft at a century-old temple in Odisha's Pipili has triggered concern among local residents after miscreants targeted valuables and vandalised idols late on Saturday night. The incident took place at the Radhamohan temple in Nuasasan Patana Sahi area of Puri district.
According to initial reports, the accused broke open the temple's donation box and a trunk and attempted to steal ornaments. In a disturbing act, they also threw the idols of Lord Radha and Lord Krishna outside the temple premises, causing distress among devotees. The incident reportedly occurred around 1 a.m., creating panic in the locality.
