Bhubaneswar, Sept. 24 -- Heavy rain washed away a temporary road over the Nandini river near Manikyapur in Dharakote block of Ganjam district. This reportedly disrupted connectivity for residents of around six villages.

As per reports, the temporary road was built as a bridge is currently under construction over the river. To provide a route for local residents during the construction work, the contractor had placed two pipes across the river and laid an earthen road over them.

The heavy rain has now damaged and washed away the temporary route, leaving residents with difficulty in travelling through the area.

Residents of Nuagaon, Badapur, Kartali, Belapada, Khandhipada and Manikyapur have been affected by the disruption.
