Bhubaneswar, April 19 -- The ongoing heatwave condition across Odisha intensified further on Sunday, making conditions increasingly unbearable for the residents.
On Sunday, more than half of the state reeled under extreme temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, highlighting the severity of the rising heat.
According to weather reports, at least 14 cities in Odisha recorded temperatures above the 40degC mark. Among them, Jharsuguda emerged as the hottest place in the state, registering a scorching 43.3degC. Titilagarh followed closely in second place with a high of 43degC.
