Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- The All Odisha Teachers Aspirants' Association launched a protest in Odisha's Bhubaneswar on Monday, with hundreds of teacher aspirants staging a sit-in at Lower PMG over their demands for teacher recruitment. The association has sought immediate filling of vacant teacher posts in government high schools, primary schools, special educator posts and Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas across the state.

The protesters also demanded appointment of eligible candidates against available vacancies and regular publication of teacher recruitment notifications to ensure more opportunities for aspiring candidates.
