Bhubaneswar, Aug. 17 -- A fresh spell of flooding has gripped Basudevpur in Bhadrak district. It has left several families surrounded by water, disrupting normal life. Heavy rainfall triggered by the low-pressure system has made the situation increasingly alarming as the Gamai and Kansabansh rivers continue to swell.

In Sudarsanpur Panchayat, knee-deep floodwater has inundated several areas, making movement difficult for residents. The rising water has also weakened houses, with cracks appearing on walls and mud structures coming under threat of collapse.
