Bhubaneswar, April 16 -- Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond on Thursday issued a significant statement regarding the declaration of summer vacations amid rising temperatures in the state. 

The Minister said that the decision on school closures will be taken based on reports submitted by district Collectors. 

According to the Minister, districts experiencing extreme and unbearable heat will be assessed individually, and appropriate decisions regarding holidays will be made accordingly. He emphasised that the safety and well-being of students remain the government's top priority.
