Bhubaneswar, April 29 -- In a significant development in the murder case of Berhampur businessman Sudhir Patra, local police approached the JMFC Rural Court in Ganjam district seeking a two-day remand of four accused persons on Wednesday for further questioning. However, the court granted a day's remand to the police.
The accused include Sudhir Patra's niece Nibedita Patra, his nephew Tushar Patra, along with Kalu Charan Pradhan (Nibedita's male friend) and Surya Pratap Singh. Police officials had earlier filed a formal application in the court requesting custody of all four individuals to intensify the investigation into the murder case.
