Bhubaneswar, Aug. 28 -- The Odisha government has disbursed the fifth instalment of the Subhadra Yojana to more than 1.03 crore eligible women beneficiaries on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Under the latest instalment, Rs 5,000 each has been transferred to the bank accounts of 1,03,26,162 beneficiaries on Friday in Nayagarh.

The government has transferred more than Rs 5,160 crore under the fifth instalment of the women-focused welfare scheme. The latest disbursement also saw 2,21,054 women receive Subhadra assistance for the first time.
